Her Vision: Surtonia believes that crystal-clear communication of the unchanging truths in God's Word is the ultimate key to reaching both the lost and empowering believers. It's not just about preaching; it's about igniting transformations.

The Journey: Bishop Designate Burton's preaching journey took flight on June 11 guided by
her parents, the late Bishop Walter & Evangelist Mildred Burton. They ordained her as an
Evangelist alongside the Pastors of the New Freedom Fellowship of Churches. In the early
2000’s, she ventured to Northern Virginia, diving into the world of Greater Mount Calvary Holy
Church in Washington DC, learning under Bishop Alfred and CoPastor Susie Owens. Here, she
led the Alto Section in the Celebration Choir and lent her voice to the Judah & ELECT Praise
Teams.

Today and Beyond: After her father's transition, Pastor Burton spread her wings to Pastoral
Leadership. Over the past seventeen years, she's witnessed exponential growth. As Senior
Pastor of Freedom Church International, Inc. and (returning soon) Campus Pastor of FCI North
Charlotte, she's shaping her ministry for the 21st century.

A Trailblazer: Pastor Burton's passion doesn't stop at the pulpit. She's a visionary, CEO of
Surtonia Burton Enterprises, SBMinistries, the Dean of Presbyters in the Dominion Alliance of
Pentecostal Churches, and the Jurisdictional Bishop of the Central Carolina Jurisdiction under
the guidance of Bishop Darrin Christopher Johnson.
In June 2010, she added a feather to her cap, graduating with honors in Business Management
from University of Phoenix, Charlotte. But she's not done yet – the completion of her Master's is
next on her horizon.

residents and FAMETASTIC Summer Camp for at risk youth are things that accompany her
